Ant E Statik is one of the worlds original dancing robots who has been performing the robot for twenty nine years, since the beginning of the dance craze in 1980.
The Robot is commonly linked to popping as it was Robotic Dancing that preceeded and inspired all the latter street dance styles. In the early 1980's you could find a group of robotic dancers on a street in every major town and city.
The Robot was different then, there was no influence from any other dance style because the robot had yet to influence them. Body Popping was a step in one direction - Ant E Statik took a step in another.
